• Very well protected propellers | • Fun & Easy to fly |
• Built in Camera (Spy version) | • 5 to 8 minute flight time |
• Big quadcopter | • American toy company |
The first thing you notice about the Panther UFO Drone is its size. This thing is huge, nearly 2 feet by 2 feet. The second is how light it is, especially for its size.
Overall, it’s a fun and easy drone to get the hang of and fly. The fact that it is so big makes it more of an outside UAV, but only on really calm days. This thing is so light that a good wind makes it difficult to control.
The way it is built keeps the propellers very well protected. Should you happen to break one though, it comes with four spares in the box.
If you want a camera on it, you’ll want to get the Panther UFO SPY Drone. It comes with a manually adjustable camera that records to a Micro SD card.
Pros
- 5 to 8 minute flight time
- Built in propeller guards
- Fun & Easy to fly
- Big and Durable
Cons
- Battery issues
- Difficult to control in wind
- Motor burnout

The Panther UFO Drone by World Tech Toys is super fun and easy to fly. Its size and sound is intimidating at first, but this drone is great once you get the hang of flying.
Crashing, although not recommended, is not too much of an issue because of the blade guards. Just don’t suck up anything into the propellers because it can get stuck and burn out the motor.
It comes equipped with brushed motors. This is both good and bad news. The good news is that brushed motors are inexpensive and easy to replace. The bad news is that they burn out easily.
The biggest issue seems to be the battery that comes with this quadcopter. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get a full charge. This is a long time, but it’s not out of the ordinary.
The big thing is that there are multiple reports of batteries not holding a charge after the eighth or tenth use. Replacing the battery is a quick and easy fix. The trouble is that it is difficult to find replacement parts for this unit.
From what I can tell, World Tech Toys is very accommodating and helpful. This is one of the benefits of dealing with a company that is in the USA.
There are two models available for this multicopter. A non-camera version, the Panther UFO Drone, and a built in camera version, the Panther SPY UFO Drone.
The camera is not great, but it’s on par for the price. It can be manually adjusted before flight. If you want to change the angle, you’ll have to bring it in and make the adjustments. It will snap photos and record video to an included Micro SD Card.
