Complete Review
The DJI Phantom is the pioneer of the mass produced ready to fly UAVs. It most certainly holds a special place in all quadcopter enthusiasts’ hearts.
Like John Madden and Pelé were great for their time, so was the original Phantom drone. It came with Intelligent Orientation Control allowing you to fly in headless mode while orienting the camera at a specific object.
It included the most valuable Return to Launch function to prevent flyaways. And of course who could forget the super stable GPS system that made the most novice pilot look like a pro.
Although the original Phantom drone has been given the axe, its legend and technology live on in the second and third generation. If you are in the market for a new UAV and want a DJI product, I would recommend looking into the Phantom 2 or Phantom 3.
